Our VIP Program
At inja, we are always searching for our next VIPs – Very Important Pawrents.
Our inja Mums and Dads are never “breeding dogs” first. They are adored family members, raised exactly as they should be; on couches, on family adventures, surrounded by love, connection and everyday life.
Through our exclusive VIP Program, a small number of families are invited to become part of something truly special. They welcome one of our future mums or dads into their home as a cherished companion, acting as their guardians as they grow, thrive, and become part of the inja legacy. The puppy lives as the VIPs beloved pet, while they partner with us to help bring more beautiful inja puppies into the world for families to love.
From each carefully planned litter, we select one exceptional puppy to potentially continue the inja bloodlines. This means becoming a VIP guarantees you a puppy, even when litters are fully reserved. If you live within 2 hours of Kurrajong and are ready to take the first step toward becoming a VIP, simply complete our application form. We can’t wait to learn more about you and your home!

How does it work?
Application and bringing the pup home
- You can express your interest by completing the application form linked above.
- If approved, a $500 deposit secures your pup.
- Over the first 6 weeks of the litter’s life, Taryn carefully evaluates each puppy to determine which one may continue the inja bloodlines as a future mum (and occasionally a future dad).
- At 6 weeks of age, you are invited to visit the litter and meet your new family member.
- The pup will head home at 8 weeks old, where they are raised just like any beloved family pet — with plenty of love, training, care, adventures, and cuddles.
- During the first year, Taryn will collect your pup briefly for hip and elbow x-rays as part of their health testing (usually around 16 weeks and again at 12 months).
Female Pups - Cycles, Pregnancy and Whelping
First Heat Cycle
Within the first year, most girls experience their first heat cycle. At this stage, nothing further happens. You may notice some swelling and light spotting, although most girls keep themselves very clean.
Second Heat Cycle
Once spotting is noticed during their second cycle, you will contact Taryn so preparations can begin.
- Around days 7-12, Taryn will collect your pup for hormone testing with our vet. For families further away, it is sometimes easier for her to stay at inja HQ during this time.
- Around days 13-14, mating takes place. Most pairings are completed via IVF through our reproductive vet rather than naturally.
- Pregnancy lasts approximately 63 days.
Pregnancy & Whelping
- Around 28 days after mating, Taryn collects her for an ultrasound to confirm pregnancy and hopefully count a few tiny heartbeats.
- Around 28 days later, she returns to inja HQ to prepare for the arrival of her puppies.
- For the first 5-6 weeks after birth, mum remains with her puppies while she embraces motherhood and cares for her litter beautifully.
- Once the puppies are old enough, mum returns home to you where life continues as normal.
Our mums have no more than three litters throughout their breeding journey. Once retired, inja covers the cost of desexing, and they continue living their best life exactly where they belong — as your cherished family pet. The agreement is formalised through a Licensee Agreement signed by both parties.
