Once your waiting list application has been approved, we’ll be in touch to collect a $500 deposit per puppy. This deposit is non-refundable and secures your place on our waiting list once received.

Just before the litter arrives, we’ll add you to a private WhatsApp group for your litter. This is where we share special updates, photos and videos, and where you’ll get to meet the other lovely “paw-rents” waiting alongside you. When the puppies are born, we’ll let you know as soon as possible — it’s always such an exciting moment! We also share regular updates on our social media pages.

During the first 6 weeks, we spend lots of time observing the puppies and getting to know their little personalities. While we absolutely consider your colour and gender preferences, our top priority is matching temperament and personality to your lifestyle. We truly believe the right puppy belongs with the right family. At 2 weeks of age, once the puppies are settled, we’ll send through an invoice for a further $1,000.

At 6 weeks, after their first vet health check, we’ll invite you to visit the puppies and meet the one (or two!) we feel could be your perfect match. After your visit, the remaining balance of the puppy price will be invoiced and is due as soon as possible.

Your puppy will be ready to go home at 9 weeks of age. This allows puppies who are desexed at 8 weeks to have a 7-day recovery period to rest and heal before heading home, in line with the Australian Association of Pet Dog Breeders Code of Ethics. Puppies going home on a Spay Secure contract are also collected at 9 weeks so that all puppies leave at the same time, helping make the transition smoother and less disruptive for the litter.

You’ll be heading home with a gorgeous bundle of fluff ready to be loved and adored!

Please note: Our puppy price is based on collection at 9 weeks from East Kurrajong. If you’re unable to collect your puppy in person, we’re very happy to help arrange transport within Australia or overseas. Transport costs are additional. If your puppy needs to stay with us beyond 9 weeks, extra fees will apply for training, food, 12-week vaccinations, boarding, etc.

No, actually most inja pups head off to their forever homes at 8 weeks old with a Spay Secure agreement in place. This means desexing happens when the pup is around 6 months old, with their new family arranging the procedure via their vet.

However, if you’d prefer your pup to be desexed before coming home, we can absolutely organise that for you. Your little one will simply stay with us for an extra week (which means bonus cuddles for us!) and head home at 9 weeks, giving them time to rest and recover in line with AAPDB guidelines.

We’ll chat through your preference at your 6-week puppy visit so everything can be lined up nice and smoothly. We cover either the cost of desexing at 8 weeks or setting up your Spay Secure agreement. If you choose desexing at 6 months, the procedure cost at that time is your responsibility.

By placing a deposit, you are choosing to move forward with Inja as your breeder, rather than reserving a specific puppy at this stage. We understand you may have a preferred litter, and this is noted on your application.

We usually accept five deposits per litter, which generally reflects the expected litter size. If, for reasons beyond our control, we are unable to provide a puppy from your preferred litter – such as a stillbirth, a puppy absorbed in utero, or if your chosen sex is unavailable – your deposit will simply transfer to the next available litter that fits your preferences. This is why joining the waitlist early is recommended.

When you place a deposit, you are entrusting us to bring a beautiful puppy into your life, and we cannot wait to begin this journey with you! That said, even with the most careful planning, Mother Nature ultimately decides the outcome. A little flexibility regarding the exact puppy you receive is always advisable.

At inja we use Guardian Families to care for our breeding mums and dads through our Breeder Buddy Program. We do this so that our they have an amazing life with their forever family from 8 weeks of age. We prefer not to house breeding dogs here at inja and then re-home them when they retire, as this is a big adjustment for them and us.

At 8+ weeks the potential breeding puppy will go to their forever family, like any other puppy would, and they grow up as per normal – in a loving family home.

Between 4-12 months we collect them twice to complete their testing. It is at 12 months that we will make a final call as to whether we will breed with that dog. If we decide not to use them for breeding, then we will pay to have them desexed and they will continue to live with their forever families. If we decide to use for breeding, then we periodically collect them to complete matings as required. All vet costs associated with breeding are covered by inja Labradoodles.

Breeding mums come and stay with us in our home a week before they are due to have their babies, and for the first 6 weeks after the litter is born. They have no more than 3 litters, then we pay for them to be desexed and they continue to live with their forever families.

All breeding mums and dads are able to board with us at Kurrajong Oodles at a discounted rate, during the years that they are used for breeding.

The puppy price for a potential breeding pup is the same as the normal puppy price at the time. However, girls get bonus of $750 paid to the Guardian Family each time the dog has a successful pregnancy (litter consisting of more than 2 puppies). Whilst boys get a bonus of $500 paid to the Guardian Family each time they are used for a service resulting in a successful pregnancy, as detailed in the stud agreement at the time. The bonus is paid once their puppies have all been sold.

Nutrition is the foundation of all aspects of health for puppies as they grow and develop. All our puppies are fed Lyka Pet Food as soon as they’re weaned from their mothers.
